Tony's commentary on the show:

"I want the Jet community to know that the Missouri valley Jet Fly went off with out a hitch or an accident. We had 31 registered pilots from California, Missouri, Iowa , Nebraska, Minnesota, Colorado and Kansas. We all had a great time. The weather was fantastic along with the food. The town of Tecumseh opened up their town and the airport to the guys. Ward Neesen did a fantastic job of being the CD and even the AMA VP was impressed enough with what was going on...He took plenty of pictures and asked alot of questions. We expect to see a write up in the AMA mag. He was surprised that we had conformed with ALL of the AMA rules and no one complained. Even Ivan and Paul M. were seen to be smiling....SEVERAL times during the weekend.

It appears that scale jets out numbered the sport jets and there was a decrease in the # of turbines present. We also had at least 3 electric's flying. The most popular manufacturer was TopGun Aircraft followed by BVM & Byrons, JHH, Kyosho and a list of others. We gave away awards in 8 categories. Best Turbine went to Don Reger w/ a Kangaroo, Scale turbine went to Lance Campbell and his Phillip Avonds F15, Best Sport D/F went to Kevin Hyde and his BVM Maverick, Best Scale D/F went to Jim Simonitch and his JHH F86. Pilots Choice went again to Don Reger and his Roo, Top Gun went to  te boys from Colorado and their F15 flying that is Paul Munninghoff, Ivan Munninghoff and the CDs award went again Kevin Hyde and the Maverick and the highly coveted,"I WAS SCRAMBLED IN THE BRAMBLES" went to David Fox.

I would like to thank all the sponsors personally starting with Larry Wolf and JHH, Frank Tiano of FTE, Bob Violett of BVM, Dubro,Boca Bearings, Robart MFG, MAN, RCJI, BYRONs,Scale Model Research, Airtronics all in no particular order. Look for the video because there will be some interesting things on their. Look for us in 2001 "
