The SR-71 Blackbird Page

The following pictures show some of the various stages of construction of my SR-71. It is a Yellow kit. I spent about a year building the kit, another 6 months painting and finishing, and about another 18 months of flying it to finally get all the bugs out of the varous systems (including trying 3 different fuel systems to find a combination that runs reliably). Currently I've got 17 flights on it and have recently incorporated a drag chute that is quite effective.

Details include: 2 OS 91's with Dynamax power, 12 servos, 9ch, 30lbs, and K&B finish with ProMark graphics.
