*** Andy Steere's QQ E-YAK-54 Assembly Images ***

These are pictures of the assembly process of the E-YAK-54 from QuiQue's Aircraft Company.

Assembly went fairly well. Quique's larger Yak's have white trim on the wing and fuselage... which really makes the colorscheme "pop". So, I added it to mine... regular ultracote white. The rest of the covering is probably "China-Kote". The yellow transparent is thicker than Ultracote-lite... and thicker than the covering that is on my EF Yak (same chinese factory made both planes). This yellow also seems to have memory... removing twists result in the twists returning in a couple days. The yellow also doesn't seem to want other covering sticking to it. When I installed the white trim, I noticed the blue and red trim was loose (not attached well) in several places. So, I went over all the trim with the iron on about 195F. Not enough to shrink it, but plenty to seemingly activate the adhesive. However, in a few days the trim was loose again. I recommend trim sealent.
