MOVIE CLIPS

(Choose a format to view by clicking on one of the two links provided. The native format for the video camera (Olympus C-700UZ) is Apple Quicktime MOV. This version will produce the best picture and sound possible, but the file sizes are large. The Microsoft AVI files were converted using Lead Multimedia Converter and while much smaller... their image quality suffers (a lot on some movies, very little on others). If you have trouble viewing these by directly clicking on the link, try right-clicking on the link, choose save to disk, and play the video ouside the browser. The MOV files require Apple Quicktime player or plugin, and the AVI files require Microsoft Windows Media Player or similar. The AVI files are converted using an Indeo video codec, if you have trouble viewing the video.)

Takeoff run for flight #2. It's August 20th, about an hour before the monthly club meeting is supposed to start.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 2.3MB) (MOV 4.0MB)

Flying around getting used to it.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.8MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Another pass down the runway.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.8MB) (MOV 4.0MB)

Trying a "show pass". Real easy!
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.8MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Time to try a roll. Looks great!
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.8MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Another Show Pass.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.8MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Take off run for flight #3.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 2.3MB) (MOV 4.1MB)

Zoomed in a bit more this time.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 4.1MB)

Last clip from 08/20/2002.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.8MB) (MOV 4.1MB)

08/24/2002 - Take-off run for flight #4 on my GBY. Carl's flying, I'm taking video clips.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

GBY clip #2. A show pass.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

A knife-edge pass. Doesn't do bad for a non-aerobatic plane.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

A "high-speed" pass. Not very high-speed, but nice.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

A high-speed pass the other direction.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Take-off for GBY flight #6. Flight #5 was flown completely by me (my first complete flight on my own model [grin]), so no pics of it.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

A stall turn. Carl's first on this model. I had done two decent stall turns during flight#5 and he decided to try a couple too. Not very tall... no more than 100 feet before it runs out of steam. A bigger engine is in this models future for sure! It's enough for regular flight, as you can see in these clips, but I want a bit more.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Another stall turn... this one is much cleaner. The model has a great rudder... basically no coupling at all.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

A four-point-roll. Carl's first on this model. Getting more confident with it now. We even tried a snap roll.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Another 4-point roll. Better looking than the first one... though I should have kept my eye on the model instead of talking to Carl.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Just playing with it now. Very fun airplane to fly! End of clips from 08/24/2002.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

08/30/2002 - At the Taylor Airshow, clip #1. These are the same as in the "Club" section of the Taylor 2002 page, which can be found in the Photo Gallery of the MMRCA Club Website.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

At the Taylor Airshow, clip #2.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

At the Taylor Airshow, clip #3. Put over an hour of flight time into it this weekend.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)
