MOVIE CLIPS

(Choose a format to view by clicking on one of the two links provided. The native format for the video camera (Olympus C-700UZ) is Apple Quicktime MOV. This version will produce the best picture and sound possible, but the file sizes are large. The Microsoft AVI files were converted using Lead Multimedia Converter and while much smaller... their image quality suffers (a lot on some movies, very little on others). If you have trouble viewing these by directly clicking on the link, try right-clicking on the link, choose save to disk, and play the video ouside the browser. The MOV files require Apple Quicktime player or plugin, and the AVI files require Microsoft Windows Media Player or similar. The AVI files are converted using an Indeo video codec, if you have trouble viewing the video.)

04/11/2003 - First flight on new engine. Take off run.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 1.4MB) (MOV 4.0MB)

First flight, show pass. Engine running pretty well... about half throttle. Increasing the throttle after about 8 minutes resulted in a deadstick. No problem getting it back to the runway though.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Flight #2 - Take off run. Richened the low end for this flight... which seemed to help. Plenty of power, without being over powered.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 1.6MB) (MOV 4.1MB)

Took it way on up there to try slow flight and the full range of throttle to check our mixture adjustment. Seemed to help some.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.9MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

Still taking it real easy, but starting to fly a bit closer to the ground now (not so afraid of a deadstick).
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 1.0MB) (MOV 4.0MB)

A low Show Pass on flight #2. Running very well... flying very well. The 3/4 pound increase in weight is noticible, especially on deadstick landings. However, it still flies great! Some tweaking left to do on the carb. It's also running a little hotter than I would prefer... so I will work on the dummy radial to restrict the intake air a little more.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 1.0MB) (MOV 4.0MB)

04-21-2003 - Lou Hemphill Memorial Fun Fly - Very windy day (20-25mph). A high fly-by.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.8MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

04-21-2003 - Show pass. Wind increasing with every minute... almost blanks out all the other sounds.
320x240 - 15 seconds - (AVI 0.8MB) (MOV 3.9MB)

04-21-2003 - Landing. Went well despite the wind.
320x240 - 10 seconds - (AVI 1.5MB) (MOV 2.9MB)
