(First Flight Repairs)
These are some pictures of repairs made to the P-47 after the "landing" on the first flight. First set of pictures is after repairs are complete. Second set is various stages of completion.
I figured out what was causing all the right aileron to be needed, the left aileron was deflected down at center. I've fixed that and will try another trim flight.
The Robart retracts are nice, though a bit of a pain to install. Would have been easy had I had the retracts when the plane was built. They would sit down in the wing better. The oleo action is nice... and it starts compressing with just the weight of the model.

Fuse bottom after repairs, but before repainting. Broken sections of the ply crutch were glued
with CA, then laminated with kevlar, and doubled with additional ply in places. I want this
section to be stronger than the bond with the hardwood wing-mounting block.

Bottom of the right wing, showing newly installed retract mounting rails. These are made from
basswood laminated with carbon fiber. Very light and extremely strong.
