This is a Pica FW190 kit that I originally built way back in the 1900's.  I have since stripped and repainted the plane and converted it to electric.

Here are pics of the original.  Note the bullet holes in the side, on the number "13".

  The side panel reads: 'Rein Muss er, und wenn wir beide weinen' ('he must go in, even if we both cry').  The pilot for this plane was Klaus Faber of the JV44 squadron.  The task of the squadron was to protect the Me-262's on take off and landing when they were the most vunerable.  The JV44 was not allowed to leave the area to chase allied planes.  To protect themselves from friendly anti-aircraft fire, the bottoms were painted with the bright red/white stripes.
