Jets over the Heartland
2004
We
return to Tim Riddelman's jet meet in Winamac Indiana, named Jets
over the Heartland. We had a great time at this year's show. The
flying site has to be one of the best R/C model fields, I think
I've ever seen....big paved runway, grass run-offs that are
perfectly mated to the pavement, covered pavilion, taxi ways,
heck, even blast shields and a 2 story control tower!
The shots below show our travels, which included our first flat
tire. Thousands of miles over the years, and this is our first
flat. Guess we were over due. Big turnout, with excellent weather.
The display engine is the new FunSonic, being distributed by
Robart. The toasted engine was a JetCat 160 that came to an
aburpt stop. Thankfully the damage was minimal to the plane.
Included also is a shot of a Boomerang, and a few of the DV8R.
Lastly, was a fun time with the local fireworks show.
Fun stuff!
